A vial of Sculptra typically comes in powder form and requires reconstitution with sterile water that has been pretreated to kill any bacteria. The powder must be thoroughly dissolved by shaking to prepare it for injection.
After injection, the patient's face will appear fuller immediately, primarily due to the introduction of water into the area. Within 2-3 days, the face will return to its original state, but PLLA remains in place to stimulate collagen production on the face. Over time, Sculptra particles gradually diminish, but the collagen fibers created will continue to rejuvenate and strengthen the skin for up to 2 years.
Result of Sculptra will be at its best within 3-4 months after the injection.
